Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Library System organized a workshop on “Bibliometric Visualization and Literature review using VOSviewer” for faculty members, Research scholars and Students of Swami Rama Himalayan University on 21st December 2024 at BC Roy Auditorium.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Vice Chancellor, Swami Rama Himalayan University. He gave more emphasis on Visualization which can help the researchers to expand their thinking and stimulate their brain’s creative centers. The workshop was addressed by Dr. Vijendra D. Chauhan, Director General Academic and Development with his encouraging remarks.

The speaker, Prof. Yogendra Singh, University Librarian addressed the participants about valuable insights and practical tips for making the most of VosViewer, a free tool used for bibliometric analysis and visualization of scientific literature. Prof. Singh highlighted that this tool is used to gain insight into the structure and dynamics of the research field, evaluate an impact of publications and identification of influential authors and also evaluate journals and research trends and collaboration network.

Dr. Nupur Srivastava thanked all the faculty and students present in the workshop. On this occasion, Mr. Shashi Shekhar, Inder Pal Singh, Mr. Ajay Bangari and Kailash Uniyal were present. Approximately, 91 participants were present including PG students, Research Scholars and faculty members of HIMS, HCN, HSYS, HSBS, HSST, HSMS and HSPS.
